Pyrograph (2024)
Pyrograph's self-titled debut full-length is hard and soft in all the right places. The new album features an eclectic array of songs ranging from explosive heavy rock anthems like “Hollywood” and “Third Leg,” to introspective ballads like “Fire on My Mind,” to the 10-minute proggy powerhouse closer that is “Blot Out the Sun.” Pyrograph represents a clear maturation of the band’s sound while still paying homage to their roots as heard on Creatures of Instinct.
Third Leg (2024)
"Third Leg" is like a cinder block strapped to the accelerator while you're bound and blindfolded in the trunk – Pyrograph takes the wheel.
The song recounts an alien abduction, but what truly sets it apart is its enigmatic metaphor—a third leg, both real and symbolic, caught between the realms of the extraterrestrial and the familiar. As "Third Leg'' confidently strides beyond the bounds of reality, it beckons you to contemplate the intricate tapestry of existence.
Clear My Head (2024)
Standing as a portrait of inner turmoil, “Clear My Head” chronicles the delicate balance between the ache of solitude and the yearning for solace. Lines blur and voices intertwine like tangled vines. A dynamic alt-rock gem, the song is a desperate plea for clarity in the midst of chaos.
Hollywood (2024)
Like a sharpened scalpel, Pyrograph's "Hollywood" slices through the glittering surface of the entertainment industry to expose a grimy underbelly of abuse and manipulation. As layers of illusion are peeled away, the song evolves into a fearless confrontation of the industry's dark side. "Hollywood" is a raw exposé of a realm where shadows thrive beneath the spotlight, demanding your immediate attention.
Crafted over a span of several years, Pyrograph honed in on a sound that is uniquely their own, resulting in a track that bravely exposes hidden truths with raw honesty and unyielding conviction.
Creatures of Instinct (2018)
The culmination of three months work in 2018, Pyrograph’s debut EP is a 20-minute trip of spine-shattering, introspective, unadulterated music. Starting their endeavor in the sweltering heat of a record-setting Central California summer, Pyrograph worked indefatigably to write, record and produce an EP like none other.
These tracks are more than songs; they are emotional portals, offering a glimpse into the depths of Pyrograph’s creative universe. They show that in order to break free of the mold, one must deviate from their habits; from the pressures of uniformity, lest we become Creatures of Instinct.
